The Connectivity Gap

For a Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) technician, the actual splicing is only half the job. The other half is the data war. If you install an ONT (Optical Network Terminal) but fail to record the correct ONT serial or link it to the right FDH (Fiber Distribution Hub), the customer won't have service, and you'll be back at that apartment on your own time to fix the record. Paper work-orders get wet, lost, or become illegible in the cramped utility rooms of apartment complexes.

This template is a technical cockpit for the field tech. It replaces the "docket" with a structured digital record that captures the hardware IDs and logistical details at the point of installation.

The Daily Reality: The Hardware Audit

An installation is a multi-device setup. You aren't just giving them "internet"; you're providing a Modem, a Telephone, and often an STB (Set Top Box) for Evision. This database forces a granular audit of every piece of equipment. By using the Barcode fields for STB serial and STB MAC, you eliminate the number-one cause of provisioning failures: typos. You scan the box, the data is locked, and the billing department has an unshakeable record of what was delivered to Flat no. 4B.

The Type field (Migration, Tp new, Add service) provides the immediate mission context. A "Migration" job requires a different mindset and toolset than a "Tp new" install. Having this context front-and-center allows you to prep your truck before you even leave the depot, ensuring you have the right mix of fiber jumpers and patch cords for the day's tasks.

The Data Payoff: Proving the Work

At the end of a long shift, you don't want to spend an hour reconciling your jobs. This system gives you an instant view of your Task status. You can see exactly which jobs are Completed and which are Not Completed (with the reasons in Remarks). This data is your primary defense. When a customer claims they never received their modem, you pull up the record, show the scanned serial number, the Date, and the Appointment Time. It turns your field work from a series of events into a professional, audit-ready service history.
